Nurturing Resilience In Children Through Sports

With the speed at which technology is advancing today, kids should learn to be resilient so that they can adapt to the challenges that lay ahead in the future. With artificial intelligence set in motion for the upcoming years, many professionals today are constantly encouraged to upgrade their skills and expertise to meet the imminent changes to their jobs. A classic example of resilience is embodied by Michael Jordan who famously says, “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions, I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Besides building resilience, there are several other benefits to playing sports such as teamwork, fitness, and alertness. These qualities are equally important to the growth of your child, and further reinforces the need to expose your child to sport activities.
